'Make It Happen' The 'Make It Happen' is simulation about project based work in diverse teams around societal project issues. Team members will take different roles in a team, such as team leader, corporate relations responsible or events and media responsible. They will be provided with the training and education needed to perform in that responsibility area and to do project relevant tasks. Tasks are related to processes that are normally done in AIESEC, but they are in context of project issue and done in simulation environment. This way people can get the benefits of trying things out and making mistakes in order to learn from them, together with like-minded people.

Issues and objectives of the projects are: Entrepreneurship - getting one AIESEC trainee to work in a management position in a Finnish company - organizing one workshop around entrepreneurship skills - designing promotion for the learning circle - sending one project team member to an AIESEC internship abroad in the end Information Technology - getting one AIESEC trainee to work in a Finnish IT company - renewing AIESEC TKK webpages - organizing one discussion evening around e.g. engineering ethics - sending one project team member to an AIESEC internship abroad in the end Life Science - getting one AIESEC trainee to work in a Finnish biotech-related company - organizing one discussion evening around e.g. life science ethics - designing promotion for the learning circle - sending one project team member to an AIESEC internship abroad in the end Emerging Markets - getting one AIESEC trainee from Eastern Europe or Asia to work in a Finnish company - organizing one networking event for students and companies that want to expand to east - designing promotion for the learning circle - sending one project team member to an AIESEC internship abroad in the end Explanation of recruitment process The recruiting new members is going to happen trought the 'Make It Happen' which takes place in the beginning of October. The time when the 'Make It Happen' simulation starts and first recruitment event called Orientation Day is on 2.10.2007 at 5pm in Rantasauna, Otaniemi. In simulations, there is on averange one event per week where you can attend to. Thought, everyone in a team doesn´t have to go to all simulation events. The celebration of completing 'Make It Happen' takes place in Local AIESEC Seminar, where most of the new member applicants around the Capital area will go. After the simulation you will be given opportunity to continue developing yourself in areas of your interests by joining AIESEC. The fun part After every workshop event we will have something fun to do. The fun part is open to everyone. Together with these people and with your friends you can go enjoy time in following ways. Events during the 'Make It Happen' simulation Orientation Day - Start of the simulation 2.10.2007 at 5pm in Rantasauna, behind Jämeräntaival 7, Otaniemi Fun Part: Sauna starts at 7pm Leadership workshop for team leaders 4.10. at 6pm in Peli- ja sitsitila, Jämeräntaival 3A, Otaniemi Fun Part: Chill out at Keltsu starts at 8:30pm Workshop for the events and media responsibles 9.10. at 6pm in Takkakabinetti, Jämeräntaival 3A, Otaniemi Fun Part: Bowling in Tapiola starts at 9:00pm-10:00pm Sales workshop for the corporate relations responsibles 11.10. at 6pm in Peli- ja sitsitila, Jämeräntaival 3A, Otaniemi Fun Part: Barhopping starts at 9pm Helsinki Area Local AIESEC Seminar - end of the simulation 13.-14.10. What is required from you Eagerness to learn and develop yourself. Besides that, to complete the 'Make It Happen' simulation you should get basic info about AIESEC, come to at least one event during simulation and attend to Local AIESEC Seminar.
